I absolutely LOVE collaborating with other wedding professionals to pull together styled shoots. Styled wedding shoots are a great way for brides to get inspiration, and for vendors to network. For this photoshoot at The White Room in Worcester, I had the pleasure of meeting a bunch of new faces. I learned the most from Carly of The Sage Bouquet! Her silk florals were absolutely stunning. When I found out she RENTED THEM, I was floored. I HAD to know more.

Who are you and what’s your business?

We are Meghan and Carly of The Sage Bouquet – a wedding flower and decor rental business based in Massachusetts.

What brought you to floral design?

Meghan has been a wedding florist for years. She was drawn to floral design because it has combined all of the things she loved… gardening, flowers, creating things, and weddings.  Carly was a wedding photographer and graphic designer, so we decided as creatives to design together in the wedding world. We still get goosebumps when everything comes together and we get to be a tiny part of a couple’s big day!

What’s special about silk flowers?

We love this question! Our flowers are always in season, which means you can have your favorite flowers in your bouquet and not have to worry about paying a market price or even worse, not being able to find them at all. Silks are perfect for anyone who has allergies or is sensitive to smells. With silks, you know exactly what you’re getting and you don’t have to worry about keeping your flowers in water and in a cool place so they don’t wilt. Our flowers are always ready for a photoshoot and easy to transport. The list goes on, but we think the number one reason to use our service is to save money for your married life and still have beautiful flowers in your photographs that will last a lifetime.

What types of florals designs do you like best?

We are big on the boho/asymmetrical look. Tight, traditional roses are lovely, but our style is a little edgier, some of our bouquets have blueberries and king proteas! Our brides want to stand out a little, they don’t care too much about tradition, and they’re really into saving money.
