First I HAVE to say, I am so blessed to have started my 2019 wedding season with this AMAZING wedding! Dale and Justin had a. beautiful Newport, RI wedding at The Hotel Viking. I absolutely love The Viking. It is a staple in Newport history. The service, food, and overall vibe of the hotel screams, “Newport!”
Next, I am going to give major kudos that Dale and Justin got ready together. This absolutely surpasses my love for first looks. There is nothing more amazing than the joy and love in a room when a couple is getting ready to exchange vows. Being a sucker for romance, this made my 2019 season starter EVEN BETTER (if that’s possible).
The Kay Chapel is a historic gem just on the other side of the parking lot of The Viking. The old architecture and simplicity of the chapel make it one of my favorite ceremony sites in RI. Built in 1869, the chapel still holds many of the original elements. There is a large stain glass window on the wall of the nave. Five of the other ten stained glass windows contain their original dedicated tablets. The wooden beamed ceiling has that ships hull feel that is so familiar in New England.
When it comes to Newport, RI weddings, you know that great style is always a must! Dale and Justin did not disappoint! Dales suit jacket was custom made with an amazing velvet fabric (so soft!) and an iridescent liner! Best of all, their initials and wedding date were sewn on the inside. It was perfect! The florals by Wild Dahlia were absolutely stunning. Their matching Tiffany rings were gorgeous!
Again, I can not stress enough how grateful I am to have started my season with such an amazing couple. I had so much fun and can’t wait to continue 2019 with all my fabulous DSP Couples!!
