Let me tell you why I love my job- my wonderful, amazing, fantastic COUPLES! For real though. I have found that all my clients love spending time with their friends and family, probably have a dog (or 3), and they love all things sci-fi, fantasy, and comics. Erica and Gary were no exception.
These two had the perfect wedding at The Barn at Wight Farm. Everyone was so relaxed, so friendly, and overall AMAZING. Not only were the bride and groom AND their wedding party an absolute dream to work with, the whole (all female) vendor team was a blast!
The Barn at Wight Farm is conveniently located in Sturbridge, MA. It was so quaint and beautiful. I loved that there was a large bridal suite, and indoor ceremony space, and a separate reception area. The fire pit outside was perfect on the chilly Spring night.
Erica & Gary were the absolute sweetest. They were full of laughter and love, smiles and tears. It filled me with absolute joy to see these two so unbelievably happy. So often I learn so much about the couple during toasts. And during this wedding, I realized I could probably geek out for hours talking about Star Wars and Comics with two. I honestly can’t wait to stalk them on IG and watch their lives evolve now that they are an officially hitched!!!
I get asked at every consult wether or not a second photographer is needed. My answer is always, “It never hurts!” But let’s put my sarcasm aside and get to the nitty gritty.1
Are you and your partner getting ready at different locations?
If you answered YES, then you may need a second. While guys don’t typically care about having their “getting ready” moments captured (all 5 minutes), it really does round out the story f the day. Y’all- grooms are important too!
Do you have over 200 guests?
While I love capturing all the candid moments with guests, it is really difficult for me to focus on THAT many! Not only do I suggest a second, but a photo booth wouldn’t hurt either!
Do you want some extra photos?
If you really just want some extra photos, a second is the way to go! They will offer another perspective through the first look, ceremony, and reception.1
Is it in your budget?
Budget is a HUGE consideration when adding on a second. I am all for walking my clients through where else that money could go. A photo booth is a great compromise- you still get a ton of photos of guests but don’t get the extra of the two of you.
