Adriana and James had a beautiful botanical garden wedding at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island. The couple has known each other since high school. While their romance did not blossom then, it’s so sweet that they found each other years later and fell in love.
James proposed Veterans Day 2017 on the balcony of our cruise stateroom, which was on its way to the Bahamas. After a nice dinner, we went back to our room to relax and plan our evening. I am not easy to surprise so I actually figured out what he was trying to do early. Call it “women’s intuition” but when someone comes back from another room with their hands behind their back, looking nervous, you know something is up! He eventually went to the balcony and asked me to join him. It was dark, with the moon shining over the vast Caribbean Sea – breathtaking! He did not say anything for some time so I sat down and eventually made him do the same. He said a bunch of nice things about being best friends and going on adventures, got on one knee and, FINALLY, asked me to marry him – with a ring pop ????. I said Yes!
-Adriana’s Pop the Question Story
The Graduate, formerly The Providence Biltmore, is always a great spot for getting ready. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and filled with natural light. Adriana’s room was full of vintage details that I LOVED!
This was my first wedding ceremony INSIDE the botanical garden. I am always outside or at a church. The garden was the perfect backdrop for James and Adriana’s wedding ceremony. The floral arch decor by Sweet Talk Floral was gorgeous and fit perfectly with all the greenery of the garden.
Wit smaller weddings you never know how much dancing will actually happen. Well, this crowd was ready to party! The dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT LONG! I loved seeing everyone having such an amazing time. All the guests were so kind to me. I truly enjoyed spending time with everyone at the wedding!
