Over the past year I had the pleasure of visiting Grand View in Mendon Massachusetts several times. I have become INCREDIBLY fond of this wedding venue. Not only are the grounds and ballroom gorgeous, the staff is amazing, and the food is delicious!
Grand View is located in the Central Massachusetts town of Mendon. Its location makes it perfect for weddings that have guests coming from Rhode Island , Connecticut, and Massachusetts. While the location is a little off the beaten path, the highway and accommodations are only 15 minutes away. Best of all, the venue sits right on Lake Nipmuc making it perfect for lakefront wedding ceremonies!
I adore the outdoor ceremony options at Grand View. The waterfront has two large patios that lead down to a beautiful veranda. You can choose between two ceremony options, the Bella Vista or the Terraza. Both are stunning in the hours leading up to sunset.
After the ceremony your guests can mingle outside on the patios or head into the cocktail hour space. I always love a venue where the cocktail hour and ceremony spaces are separate from the main ballroom. That allows us too get full room photos of the dinner space. You put so much time choosing linens, place settings, and florals, it’s important that we photograph those memories for you!
Grand View’s ballroom is very elegant. It features wall-to-wall windows with a lake views. Crystal chandeliers make the space look even more beautiful. The hardwood dance floors highlighted with a long fireplace, perfectly placed for the sweetheart table backdrop. The ballroom can comfortably accommodate up to 250 people. Lastly, Grand View offers a plated dinner reception with plenty of space for dancing.
