Kayla and Tommy contacted me about six months prior to their wedding. I found a special place in my heart for these two, as they had recently lost a child. Throughout the planning process and the day of, the bride and groom made their little girl a part of every aspect of their big day. They started with a first look at their hotel. Next, we headed to Stevens-Coolidge Place for portraits. Finally, a heart warming ceremony and reception at the Tewksbury Elks Lodge.
The bride carried a remembrance charm with her daughter’s picture attached to her bouquet.
The ceremony space at the Elks Lodge was rustic and quaint. A gazebo sits between a large wooded area and the hall. There was an outdoor bar as well as food stations set up for guests. Kayla and Tommy decorated with photos and flowers. Most importantly, a balloon release was incorporated to celebrate their daughter. Guests wrote messages on the balloons prior to the ceremony.
The couple chose a balloon release in memory of the daughter they had lost months prior to the wedding. The balloons carried messages from friends and family.
It was a short drive between the ceremony and photo location of Stevens-Coolidge Place. The director at the park was amazing. She walked me through all the best photo locations as soon as I arrived! With summer in full swing, all the flowers were blooming. Dressed in black, the wedding party handled the heat wonderfully. No complaints – even from the guys!
The Bride and Groom walked the winding paths through the Stevens-Coolidge Place for beautifully natural wedding photos.
The ballroom at the Tewksbury Elks was HUGE! There was more than enough room for everyone as well as a great dance floor. Bridesmaids and Groomsmen had a blast entering the reception dressed in T-Rex costumes!
The desserts were overflowing at this Tewksbury Elks wedding reception
