When I first spoke with Callie about her wedding with Mike, I knew we would be a great fit. The couple, who started their romance in high school, were not only nice, but super laid back and easy going. They understood the heart of the wedding is friends and family.
Sometimes, plans change
While the original plan was to have the wedding at a venue, plans changed! Callie contacted me letting me know the venue was no longer holding functions and their wedding was being moved to the family home. I LOVE a good rustic backyard wedding. There is nothing better than watching two people exchange vows surrounded by their closest friends and family in a location that MEANS SOMETHING. Turned out, they weren’t the only ones that had used the family property for weddings. There had been several family weddings there over the years!
The wedding party got ready at the family home. The bride has custom tanks made for her girls. Everyone was relaxed and enjoying the beautiful wedding day!

Callie and Mike ventured into the woods with me for some seclusion. The greenery was the perfect touch for their rustic back yard wedding.
As always, we ended the night with some canoodling in the dark!
Details
Simplicity in the rustic details made this wedding absolutely stunning. The blue and peach details carried throughout the decor. The wedding maintained the rustic feel with a sense of welcoming. Signs from the parking area led me to a path of twinkling fairy lights. A large field was ample enough for guests, lawn games, a tent, and ceremony area. Cider donuts were at each place sitting as a special fall New England treat!
I love my job!
Smaller more intimate wedding continue to be my favorite. This one fit the bill! Every aspect was perfect for this couple. I felt like I had grown up in the same town as them, surrounded by their friends and family. Lastly, I would like to send a big thank you to Callie & Mike for making me feel so welcomed on their big day!

This rustic backyard wedding is perfect! Turned out good that the never canceled and the wedding was at this home. It’s a beautiful setting. I especially love the photos in the woods.
