Rachel’s Lakeside October Wedding

I had so much fun photographing Elisa and Shawn’s Rachel’s Lakeside October wedding. It had been a few years since I last had a wedding at Rachel’s. Once again, everything was perfect. October can be tricky when it comes to weather. You never know how cold it’s going to be. Luckily, we had a brisk, but not freezing wedding day.

Outdoor Ceremony

The outdoor ceremony space at Rachel’s Lakeside has a very pretty gazebo as the focal point. In the fall it is surrounded by mums and greenery. While you can absolutely add your own florals and decor, Rachel’s does a great job making it beautiful year round.

What made this wedding special was Elisa’s cousin as the officiant. SHe did an amazing job and held back tears that I knew were brimming!

No first look, but it works at Rachel’s!

Because everything is in one space at Rachel’s, it makes it super easy to get all your photos done in a decent amount of time. While I love a first look, if you decide not to go that route, venues like this are perfect. When booking your Rachel’s Lakeside October wedding, try for mid month. You will love the fall foliage reflecting off the water!

Amazing DJ

I was once again blessed to work with the amazing Jordan Paiva of Music of Our Lives DJ Service. He is such a great guy. He keeps the party going strong, even jumping on the mic and singing. It is always a pleasure to work with Jordan.

Of Course the Night Shot

As always, I love to end my evening with a night photo. It really is my favorite way to say goodbye and congratulations. Plus, I get to flex my creative muscles and have some fun!
