Another beautiful Quidnessett Country Club wedding in the books! Like all that came before it, this venue always nails it! Michael and Ashley’s wedding set the record for best dips in DSP Wedding history! Ashley also nailed ALL of her vendors. It was an absolute dream working with everyone at the Labreche wedding.
I first met Ashley and Michael at the Brides on a Budget Bridal Show. I distinctly remembered them because Michael is as tall, if not taller, than my own boyfriend. So when you meet someone over the 6’5″ range, it sticks with me. They exuded the “fun” type couple that I love working with. They bounced jokes off each other and were non-stop smiling. I got cleared for handling my own around the groom’s rowdy friends. After giving my card out, it was awhile before I heard from the couple again. I was sure my zany personality may have scared them off…
What felt like a year later, I got an email from Ashley. I was so excited to meet her again! First step in booking with DSP is to set up an in person consult. Usually I meet with the couple, but Ashley came with her Maid of Honor. Over coffee, in a back booth at Panera, I got the low down on everything Ashley & Michael. They were both single parents. When Ashley talked about her fiancé, her whole face would light. It was so sweet.
When the day arrived, the couple got ready at a local hotel before their Quidnessett Country Club wedding. Because they were in the same hotel, I was able to bounce between the two as they got ready. I was so excited when I found out I got to spend the day with Kim from KL Photo & Video. She is by far my favorite videographer. The two of us seemed to blend right in with the wedding party. The whole afternoon was relaxed and fun. It was perfect.
Photography was really important for the Bride and Groom. They also wanted to spend as much time together on their wedding day as possible. That made them the perfect candidates for a first look. I pulled the two away from their wedding party to the back of Quidnessett. Ashley was stunning. Michael’s reaction was priceless.
One of the benefits of a first look is getting your bridal party photos taken care of prior to the ceremony. The couple was able to get individual photos with each of their friends, group photos, and bridal portraits done early. Members of the bridal party LOVED that they were done for the day before the ceremony. They could go enjoy the cocktail hour with their dates.
As a single mom myself, seeing these two bring daughters from previous relationships to their marriage was beyond special. Becoming a step parent is hard work. Ashley and Michael both nailed it. The love in this family is deep and strong. The girls were included in the wedding with a sand ceremony.
If you ever thought doing a first look would ruin the groom’s reaction down the aisle, here’s your proof it doesn’t. Michael had to take a deep breath and regain himself after seeing his little girls throwing petals. It was clear when he saw Ashley that this was one of the happiest moments of his life. Even I welled up when the two read their personal vows to each other.
Part of nailing the most beautiful wedding portraits is being out at golden hour. Does it always work out that way? No. But when it does, it’s magical. Ashley & Michael wanted those beautiful sun soaked photos that they fell in love with in my portfolio. After the ceremony, we got all the family photos done, then set out with just the two of them. Quidnessett is beautiful at every turn. I quick 20 minute walk at sunset makes for some stunning portraits on your wedding day!
The rich fall colors of New England were present throughout the reception details. Burgundy and gold accents were everywhere. The groom made sure to incorporate his own touches also, with Batman on the wedding cake!
As usual, I had to get these kids out at night! The guys had their super hero shirts ready to go! And after a few beers, they didn’t mind me pulling them out into the cool evening air.
Ashley and Michael were the first couple that were down for walking a bit so we could take advantage of the road entryway at Quidnessett. Winning the award for best dip, goes to Ashley and Michael!
The couple danced the rest of the night away thanks to Jordan at Music of Our Lives DJ! The also included some fun games and Jordan even sang! It was a spectacular evening!

This is the perfect autumn wedding at Quidnessett Country Club wedding! I love all the personal touches for this blended family, the burgundy & gold is very fall in Rhode Island! Ashley looks like she loved meeting you at the Budget Bridal Show.
Love this Quidnessett Country Club wedding. The bride looks beautiful and I love the groom’s reaction at their first look. Another wedding beautifully captured by Danyel Stapleton photography.
What a gorgeous wedding from Quidnessett Country Club! There are so many gorgeous photos throughout the day it’s tough to pick my favorites. Probably the romantic night portraits at the end of the evening. Such a beautiful way to finish the evening’s coverage. I can just see them in a wedding album!
This wedding looks like it was so much fun! I love the photo of the bride feeding the groom grapes, hilarious! Beautiful wedding photography, and Quidnessett Country Club is such a beautiful wedding venue!
That wedding cake topper paired with those super hero shirts is such a fun theme to sneak in! Loving this Quidnessett Country Club wedding.
