Shalini and Eric are the absolute sweetest couple. I was super excited to meet up with them for their Portsmouth, NH engagement photos. While Portsmouth is a little bit of a hike for me, I welcomed the weekend getaway!
Getting the Tour of Portsmouth
Portsmouth was a favorite spot for this couple. They had spent a ton of time there, both with their families and together. It just made sense for them to get married there also. When it came time to plan their engagement photos, they knew they wanted to show me around Portsmouth! I had never been to the harbor city. It was pretty awesome. First of all, Portsmouth is small and quaint, full of history. Next, the restaurant options were endless! This was my favorite part of the trip. Sushi, seafood, ocean views? Yes please!
Practice Run
Engagement sessions are what I call the practice run. We will go over all the “poses” that will most likely happen on your wedding day. However, Shalini and Eric took this to a whole new level. Starting at their reception venue, Portsmouth Harbor Events, we walked to their ceremony site. Taking photos along the way, I was able to see exactly where I would be photographing on their wedding day.
Pats Nation
Patriots blood runs strong here in Boston! Clearly Eric needed to incorporate his love of the Pats into his engagement photos! A quick outfit change ended our session and made for great Save the Dates!
Shalini and Eric are having their wedding ceremony at the historic Moffatt-Ladd House in Portsmouth, NH. We stopped there in our tour of Portsmouth to grab some photos on the front stairs. I was able to take a peek at the grounds quickly. My excitement for getting to photograph a wedding at Moffatt-Ladd was overwhelming. It is beyond beautiful there!

What a sweet Portsmouth engagement session! Your posing is classic, but still modern and fun. I LOVE the idea of doing the engagement shoot at the venue! What a great way to get to know the area. I can’t wait to see their wedding photos!

I love all the different looks and locations you were able to get with this Portsmouth NH engagement session. How cool they’re having their ceremony at the historic Moffatt-Ladd House! I love the look of it and I’m sure you’ll get some more beautiful portraits of them there at their wedding.

I love it when couples include elements of their personality into their engagement photoshoots! Clearly this New Hampshire couple are hardcore football fans to include their love for the Patriots in their engagement photo session! Beautiful images!

Super cute Portsmouth NH engagement session! I love the mix of cute cuddly portraits, walking around town and the shots by the water. You can tell these two are so in love. I’m from New England so I can appreciate the Pats jerseys 🙂
