Portsmouth New Hampshire | Engagement

The really great thing about destination weddings: sometimes you get a destination engagement session too! When these two said they wanted to show me around the town their wedding was going to be held, I was all for it. I had never been to Portsmouth, so it was especially nice to get the personal tour. This Portsmouth New Hampshire engagement session was so much fun.

We spent about an hour walking through the city. This historic seaport, which is a popular summer destination in New England, was peaceful and quiet on this cool autumn weekend. We were able to peak at the ceremony site, complete with a wedding in progress! One of the most important reasons I include engagement sessions with wedding collections is to get to know the couple. This trip was the perfect example. As we wandered through the city, I learned about their love story, their families, all about the wedding planning, the best bars in town, where to get dinner, and so much more! By the time the session was done, I was ready for the wedding to hurry up and arrive.

I was lucky enough to find one of the best raw bars I’ve ever been to while in Portsmouth, Surf. I can not wait to go back and get more oysters next year!
