I absolutely LOVE Plymouth, MA engagement photos! When Danielle and Doug wanted to have their engagement photos in the same city as their wedding, I was so excited! The couple arrived looking picture perfect. They followed my advice to a tee and had one dressy and one casual outfit. Danielle was sure to have her hair and makeup professionally done to ensure her face was FLAWLESS (and it was).
There is something special about Plymouth in the winter. It is quiet. After living in the area for years, the busy, tourist flooded summers, can be a challenge. Danielle and Doug really lucked out with a 45-degree day in January (pretty rare in New England). We were able to walk from Jenney Grist Mill, through Brewster Gardens, and to the waterfront, without acquiring frostbite.
When our session started, clouds started rolling in. I hough for sure we were going to have overcast skies for our entire session. While some photographers may say overcast is best for photos, I LOVE the sun! When the couple was changing into their second outfit, the skies cleared and that gorgeous golden sun started shining through the trees. I was excited, to say the least! I will always do my best to schedule your engagement photos an hour or two prior to sunset because it is my favorite light. Don’t get me wrong, I can make ANY time of day look great, but this is just my favorite!
