Yes, I know it’s still snowing outside, BUT spring is ALMOST here, I promise! From hair color, to interior design, to Prom – PASTEL is in for Spring. Yes, even I have jumped on the pastel bandwagon, changing my hot pink and purple ombre to pastel pink instead!
When planning you outfits for your senior pictures, pastel is something you should definitely consider. The soft colors look great in sunny outdoor areas. They are not overwhelming. They won’t distract from the most important thing in the photo, YOU. Feminie, soft, and delicate, pastel pieces are a great add to your senior picture session wardrobe.
I love the simplicity of just adding the pastel pink touches to a pair of cropped jeans. What makes an outfit like this so great is all the details and layers. During your senior pictures you want to be able to change your look quickly. When you can pair a pair of pants with a lot of different tops and accessories, it makes for quick changes and a TON of different looks in your proofs.
Hello classic Spring wardrobe!! The ruffled top won’t work on everyone. The look really great on girls that need to play up some curves. If you’re on the busty side, the tiered ruffles will not flatter. Stick to more fitting styles to flatter your curves.
Chic. Simple. With a little bit of Boho. An outfit like this is perfect for sessions out in big fields of long grass. Dreamy and romantic, perfect for a Jane Austen type girl.
Perfect for those cool Spring evenings, I love the winter carryover mixed with the spring colors. And the Hunter boots…. hell yes. If there is one thing I tell all my Seniors it’s “You can’t bring too much”. Seriously though. Even if you schedule in the dead heat of summer, bringing your favorite sweater or jacket to put on for a few shots will give you the BEST variety in your gallery.
