Winter in Rhode Island can be challenging when it comes to your engagement session. You need to be willing to brave the cold. Kayla and Justin did just that during their Lincoln, RI engagement session at Chase Farm. Although cold, it was a beautiful winter morning in New England. The brisk November winds hadn’t yet stripped the trees of foliage and the sun was shining. Most importantly, Kayla and Justin were ready to have some fun!
First of all, relax! Your engagement session is a trial run for photos on your wedding day. I will walk you through many of the poses that we will revisit on your big day. My goal is to get to know the two of you a bit better. I want to make sure that you are comfortable with me prior to your wedding. The more we can interact, the better.
Be comfortable! I usually suggest wearing complimentary colors. You don not to match exactly. In fact, please don’t wear matching outfits. With the exception being jerseys or something along those lines. Kayle and Justin did a great job planning their outfits for their Lincoln, RI engagement photos. Both were comfortable, in outfits they would normally wear. Kayla wore a scarf and sweater that complimented the colors in Justin’s plaid shirt. They were wearing layers to prepare for the cold.
This is a big question for a lot of couples. The first thing I always ask is, “what place is special to you”? I would much rather your engagement session be somewhere that the two of you have great memories. Or perhaps a spot you want to make a tradition. What theme are you going for? Do you like country or more urban spots? I will help narrow down the perfect spot for the two of you!
