Melinda and Greg won my heart over when I found out they had a corgi. Corgis are my spirit animal – little legs and fluffy butts. It was an absolute joy photographing their Hotel Viking wedding in Newport, RI.

The Venue

Nuzzled in the heart of Newport, The Hotel Viking is everything you’d expect from the historic coastal town. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Fireplaces are lit throughout the lobby with pineapple infused water at the door. This pet friendly hotel even has a drinking station for your pups on the front steps.

The wedding ballroom is spacious with an outdoor courtyard for cocktail hour. It is nothing short of perfect on a beautiful fall day.

A short walk from The Viking, The Key Chapel is a beautiful historic church perfect for any wedding ceremony. Most importantly, the groom’s suite offers an Xbox, putting green, and card table.
