Oh my goodness y’all! Can we say MOST AMAZING WEDDING EVER?! After meeting Rochelle and Kevin, I knew their wedding would be epic. They did not let me down. Their Holiday Hill Day Camp wedding has become the basis from which I will someday plan my own wedding. It had everything you could ever want: tacos, pizza, and dogs. Bed & Breakfast Beauty

Both the bride and groom got ready at bed & breakfasts in Mansfield, CT. Rochelle was at The Fitch House, and Kevin got ready at Stone Arches Bed & Breakfast. Both B&Bs were within minutes of their venue. Both locations were picture perfect.

DIY Done Right

Typically when I hear a wedding is mostly DIY, I never know what to expect. DIY wedding days can go horribly wrong from a design stand point. I have to say, Rochelle and Kevin went above and beyond. Rochelle even ended up doing her own florals days before the wedding after a mishap with her original florist. From name ribbons on the wedding party hangers to Kevin’s lighting design, every detail was top notch.

First Look Feels

Rochelle did first looks with both her dad and future husband. I love both of these new traditions! First looks are always encouraged, but I understand they aren’t for everyone. There’s still something special about that private moment you just don’t get at the alter!

A Barn Ceremony

First, I have to say, this wedding was far from “rustic”. It lacked burlap and lace. There were no signs of mason jars. Instead, there was more of a “camping with your best friends” feel. The barn was a great way to set that tone. The wedding party included the couple’s rescue pup, Henry. He defintely stole the show!

Because Parachutes….

There’s no explanation needed here. Anyone who played with a parachute during gym class knows they are awesome. Having one at your wedding… super awesome.

Because Pirate Ships…

Again, pirate ships equal awesome. Pirate ship plus wedding equals epic. “Paint me like one of your French girls, Jack”.

Because Tacos… and Pizza…. and Coffee…

Are you starting to see this awesome trend happening here. Yes- there were tacos, and pizza, and coffee roasted by the groom! Postcards were the couples’ guest book and there was a tattoo station with temp tattoos of Henry’s face (their dog, if you’ve forgotten). The couple made their own specialty drinks with freshly squeezed juices. They played mini golf, horseshoes, and cornhole. As far as weddings go, this one wins.

An Epic Team for an Epic Wedding

I couldn’t be more grateful to have been a part of Rochelle and Kevin’s big day. While every wedding is special and beautiful, this one had my heart at Tacos and Pizza. Here are some pf the amazing vendors that made the day possible!
