The Crystal Lake Golf Club is located deep in the woods of Burrillville, RI. For many, it may seem out of the way. The venue is about 5 minutes from my home, making it one of my favorites! When I saw I would be second shooting this Crystal Lake wedding, I jumped for joy! It’s always nice to have a 5 minute commute to work!
The Crystal Lake Golf Club has more of a country rustic feel than a typical country club. The big porch out front is the perfect spot for the grooms to relax with his friends and family prior to the ceremony. Crystal Lake also has a Bridal suite for the ladies, complete with porch! My day second shooting always starts with the groom.
Furthermore, I knew the groomsmen were “my people” as soon as I found out they were wearing Star Wars socks! You can read up on my Star Wars obsession on this blog post: Star Wars Wedding!
Crystal Lake’s wedding ceremony location is a quick drive from the main building. The wedding party is given the choice to drive or take a boat there! This wedding party had a shuttle bus waiting for them. It was a nice way to get out of the summer heat prior to the ceremony. Crystal Lake’s chapel is nestled in the woods overlooking the lake. It’s natural beauty is all you need, but the couple had the pews and gazebo decorated beautifully. Finally, the bride walked down the aisle to “First Day of my Life” by Bright Eyes. Once again, it was reinforced that we needed to be friends.
We lucked out that the town was having their Fourth of July fireworks the night of the wedding. Set off right at Crystal Lake, we were able to go out on the back patio to watch the show. It was the perfect ending to an amazing Crystal Lake wedding night.
A Crystal Lake wedding is great for a couple that enjoys the outdoors. It is a great venue for a rustic wedding. In addition, if you can schedule wedding around fireworks, it’s a plus!
