Amanda and Corey’s White Cliffs Country Club wedding was absolutely beautiful. As my first full 8 hour wedding day back after COVID, it was such a relief to return to my “normal”.
White Cliffs Country Club is located in Plymouth, MA. It is the perfect wedding venue for the classic New England feel. Overlooking the ocean, you have beautiful garden areas for your ceremony and reception, with beach access at your fingertips.
“Me and my fiancé (Corey) met at a Christmas party that I hosted in 2017. He was a friend’s brother’s roommate. We really hit it off at the party and he asked me on our first date that night. That night I knew he would be the person I’d marry. He was unlike anyone I’d ever met. He is so beyond sincere, sensitive, caring, and charismatic (not to mention handsome as well!). I’d never felt more comfortable with someone in my whole life! He makes me a more confident person and encourages me to be the best version of myself. We started talking about someday getting married as early as one month into our relationship.”
“On March 17th, 2019, we had plans to go on a walk and later get brunch. We went to our usual spot on Prospect Hill in Somerville. This is a place that has always been special to us. Sometimes we’d bring pizza up there and watch the sunset over Boston as a date. We spent nice days and holidays together there. That day I didn’t think anything out of the ordinary would happen, but when we got up there to the spot overlooking Boston, Corey got down on one knee and proposed.
My sister, her boyfriend, and my best friend came out from behind the tower and captured the moment. I was beyond shocked and so happy. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced happiness so intense in my entire life! We all went from there to brunch and he surprised me again with all of our friends and family there to celebrate. It was really nice that I got to share the day with the love of my life and the people that matter the most!”
Amanda and Corey were one of a handful of my DSP Couples that did not let a pandemic ruin their wedding day. The couple, their friends, and family made the most out of our new normal in the wedding industry.
My favorite Covid-couple touch was having bracelets available for guests to identify their comfort level: green for totally comfortable, yellow for social distancing, and red for keep your distance. It was a clever way to add to the comfort of the day.
