I was so excited to work with Gretchen and Dan for their Providence Public Library wedding. My mom had brought me to the library when I was young. I fell in love with the overwhelming size of the building especially compared to my small hometown library. Filled with marble, ornate details, and millions of books, the library makes for a perfect wedding venue.
Providence Public Library had the perfect stairwell for the couple’s first look. The ornate details in the ironwork complimented by the giant windows made the scene look straight from a fairy tale.
While other teens were getting dropped off at the mall, I always asked my mom to drop me off in Providence. When a couple dedicates time on the wedding day to walk around Downtown, I am a happy girl! Gretchen and Dan were super laid back. They loved finding the local murals, Providence architecture, and even rode the city’s scooters!
The main entrance to the library was the perfect spot for Gretchen and Dan’s wedding ceremony. The ceremony space overlooks the grand chandelier in the center of the library. The couple maintained the library theming throughout the day. Books adorned the reception decor. Flowers were made from book pages. Seating cards were in card catalogs!
Nothing says Rhode Island more than a delicious cup of Dels Lemonade. I was SO stoked knowing I would be leaving Gretchen & Dan’s wedding with a Dels in hand!
