The 2015 Fall mini session marathon was held in October at Roger Williams Park, Providence. Roger Williams is a fantastic place for fall family portraits! The park is much more than just a zoo! I typically meet family portrait clients at Carousel Village. From the parking lot of Carousel Village there are many places to great photo opportunities. Heading up the hill towards the Temple of Music, there are areas of pine trees as well as rolling fields. In the other direction, there is the pond, paddle boats, a beautiful old bridge, and the old boat house. Behind the carousel lies the Japanese Garden. The garden has many wooden bridges, beautiful trees and shrubbery, with many nooks and crannies. It is a very popular spot for photographers, usually with a few of us working there at a time! With so many beautiful places for pictures, it’s sometimes hard to choose where to go!
Roger Williams Park is conveniently located just off of Rt 146. With easy highway access, the park is a great choice for portraits no matter where you are from in RI. With over 100 acres, you will have plenty of areas to explore the day of your portrait session. Don’t forget to grab a Dels Lemonade on your way out!
